The whole idea of killing the future is actually to put technology aside, meaning to say, people
are now challenging the Technologies, and change every single thing that they can.
this happen a lot in the Information and communication techonlogy(ICT) world. People are doing things that they are not suppose to in the cyber world. Thats is what the whole blog means. We not just talk about ethics, we define the whole idea on why it is ethically wrong to do it.

Internet Pornography
Internet pornography is the worst form of internet abuse. People at very young age watch porn on the net. This had been a new culture since the internet had first come into public in 1995. internet pornography had been easily access with the advancement of internet browsers. People from all age watch porn on the net, and it is easily accesible because there is no specific rule that is enforced on this issue. Pornography, been the addiction of the new age, had taken the world by storm, putting aside drugs and alcohol.
The bigger problem nowadays is, people watch porn while smoking drugs and drinking alcohol. Pornography also leads to some misbehavior and crime such as raping, pendophiles, and child abuse. We can see from the media that lots of these type of case are happening now. the question is, who is there to blame? the government, for not enforcing strict law, or the pornography industry, the technology, or the user?
Pornography issue is an endless debate, since almost every part and corner of the world accept it. Some countries even make pornography their main source of income. It is hard to eliminate it, but people can avoid it with some guidance.
What is there to talk about when the whole world say yes to it? some say it is acceptable to watch porn on the internet, some say no. Well, actually, it is up to the user to determine which is good and which is bad. But personally, internet pornography is bad and this issue must be discuss properly as this is the thing that violate the technology ethics a lot, and being practiced openly worldwide.

Games, games, and more games?
"I THINK I WONT BE ABLE TO JOIN THE PARTY. SEE YOU GUYS.."
Now what does this mean actually? yeah, nowadays people are buying computers for the purpose of gaming. Gaming is acceptable, but you need to invest lots of money in order to make your computer compatible for games. What happen now is people are damaging their low spec computer with high configuration games. Now, is it ethical to spend lots of money just to play games?
This thing has been debated widely around the world, especially in forums related to computer and ICT. Question arise here is, should a buyer concentrate too much on game compatability when purchasing a computer? The answer lies on everybody's preferences. Some well off people will not find any hardship when purchasing high end computers just to set it up as a gaming rig, but this habit is now practice by youngsters, who, on average, doesnt have money, and rely on either parents money or scholarships. Its not good to spend pocket money that is suppose to be use for personal necceseties for an expensive gaming computer.
Another issue is about the games itself. Games was accepted widely last time, as it became family entertainment. Games like tetris and pacman took the whole world by storm. But now, games has become more sophiscated and close to reality due to the advancement of technology. Games are becoming more violence, and it somehow influence gamers to practise it in the real world. studies shown that avid gamers have a high potential to be a criminal. Games also have impact on one's mind. People who live too much in fantasies will forget the world around them. The best example is the sereve syndrom of Warcraft III. The famous "Defence of the Ancient(DotA)" mode had turn teenagers into something abnormal. People who are addicted to DotA are willing to spend hours, sometimes few days playing it, and lose track of everything around them. Who actually killed the future?
look in the mirror, what do you see?
a face, right? well, how sure are you that the one you saw in the mirror is you?
you cant really say right? ofcourse, logically the image in the mirror is yours, but to whom does the image actually belongs to?
That is the whole discussion here. We as the genaration who live among technologies should know our bestfriend really well, a friend by the name of "Computer". Computers are a set of brains, that are created by human, to do simple multitasking. computer is computer, computer is not a car nor a printer. But sometimes, computers are not being computers, when these brains combined with human beings' brain. these combination will breed new sets of thinking, some are good, and some are really bad. Computer can make wonders, but can also destroy the whole world with one single click.
So this new brain create some other so called "brain" to work according to their preferences. These are what we called bug and viruses, which are always related to hacking and cracking activities. The world nowadays are virtually driven by money, and people are willing to do anything just to get money. some people use their brain to spoof a logon screen of internet banking sites, so that they can access the account and steal the money. Some viruses are sent through email to large companies in order to steal some inportant companies' secret. This new brain can just do anything, but users can breathe easily now since there are lots of antivirus softwares that are more efficient nowadays. Softwares like norton internet security 2009 will run daily updates to recognise new computer threat.
Those internet virus are no longer what most software companies are worried about nowadays. What they worry now is the threat that are generally accepted by computer users worldwide. These are the virus use for cracking softwares. Softwares like microsoft office can be easily cracked and bypass some test to acuire the license. Most latest cracked softwares are so good that they even pass the online verification. The best examples is Windows Vista Ultimate. Windows Vista is the most copied software nowadays, because Computer companies are now selling some cheap models without operating system. The target market are lower-income group, which consist of general workers and students. They will buy a cheap notebook set without Operating System, and opt for a fake one to save some buck. Well, that is the reason why Windows Vista is widely copied and cracked. But, the funny thing is this cracked Vista pass all security evaluation by Microsoft website. The question now is is that really a fake software? Because it is impossible to bypass one of the strictest security check on the net, but, it actually is. you will get one "crack" folder along with the software when you purchase a fake copy. the "crack" folder contains some friendly virus (literally friendly, to your computer, but not to the software companies) and you are required to copy the whole file to the main folder. Next is to activate it. everything will run smoothly, and like magic, will be certified genuine.
it looks good, but it violate the ethical rule of doing things, is it? Even copying assignments is considered as a crime, and some universities expell students who are cought copying. But the very-very basic ethical rule for open source softwares is contradict with the protected softwares. Linux is free, and always free. But, Linux users are required to share whatever improvement they did on their Linux, because the main idea is to share ideas. Linux has the potential of eliminating other major Operating system, like macintosh and microsoft, because everything in there is free. But is this what we called ethical misguidance?

how good, if we can run the software on our computer for RM10?

without demand, there's no supply.

ict addiction
for all we know we are considered living in an IT world.. almost everything we do in our daily life is connected to IT like banking.. paying bills online.. downloading videos from the internet.. all of these can be done from a computer by using IT.. but some people nowadays are very connected to the computer until they sacrifice almost all of their time sitting on the chair browsing and surfing the net.. like checking thier facebook.. playing games online.. chatting.. actually it is not wrong for us to chat surf or watch downloaded videos from the internet but if we put all our time by doing so.. then its considered wrong.. because by spending all our time it may lead 2 unethical behaviors.. such as it addicts will tend 2 be more socially awkward because less of intercation with other people even with thier own families.. sometimes they tend 2 be narrow minded.. so so.. meaning 2 say that it can effect us mentally and physically..

BAD SIDE OF FREEDOM
WHEN WE LOOK AT PRICES OF SOFTWARE AND HARDWARE,WE CAN EASILY UNDERSTAND WHY DO PEOPLE TURN TO PIRACY,ESPECIALY FOR STUDENT THAT NEEDS EVERY PENY.ITS SO EASY TO GO TO FIRST GUY THAT SELS PIRACY PROGRAMS OR CRACKED PROGRAMS AND GET IT FOR 10 TIMES LESS PRICE THEN THE ORIGINAL,BUT IS IT ETHICAL? IF YOU ASK ME,ITS NOT AN EASY QUESTION TO ANSWER,SINCE IT HAS 2 BIG CONTRAVERSYS IN IT,A QUESTION OF TOO HIGH PRICES,IMPOSIBILITY OF A STUDENT TO BUY SUCH A SOFTWARE,AND ON THE OTHER HAND,A QUESTION OF PEOPLE THAT ARE MAKING THOSE PRODUCTS,BECAUSE IN A WAY,EVERY TIME YOU BUY PIRACY PROGRAM YOU ARE COOPERATING IN A PROCESS WHERE THEY JUST COPY PASTE SOMEBODYS HARD WORK IN A SECOND AND THEY MAKE MONEY FROM STEALING.
